Edmund had two sons: Balduin Konrad Forster was born on 20th February 1920 in Berlin-Schöneberg, residence Bozener Strasse 8. His birth was registered (Register number 156, 1920. Beirk Schoeneberg) on 24 February by Minne Forster, a professor’s widow and grandmother of Balduin with a permanent residence in Landau in der Pflaz.) His religion was given as an “evangelical.” Balduin later became a professor at the Institute for Forensic Medicine at the University of Freiburg .

The second birth certificate exists for Ruprecht Waldemar Forster (No. 578, 1921, Bezirk Schoeneberg). He was born 5th August 1921 and was registered on 8th August 1921, by his father. No religion was stated. Rupprecht died aged 34 on 12th August 1955 (d.o.b 1921 Death certificate Nr. 1557/1955) in Basel. At that time he had been working at the University Clinic in Basel for three years. (Source:Basler Nachrichten, Montag 15, August 1955. Nr 342. p.8). “Todesanzeige: Am 12. August verstarb bach längerem schweren Leiden im Alter von 34 Jahren. HERR DR.med. RUPRECHT FORSTER. Er hat während drei Jahre der Klinik angehört und ihren Kranken in vorbildlicher Pflichterfüllung und Aufopfreung sein bestes gegeben. Chirurgische Universitätsklinik Basel.”
